A nationally recognised (Signature) qualification, which covers the following modules:

BSL201 – BSL Receptive Skills
BSL202 – BSL Productive Skills
BSL203 – BSL Conversational Skills

There are four themes in this qualification: everyday conversation, eating and drinking, shopping and spending, and travel and holidays. You will study the first theme everyday conversation, and two from the remaining three themes.

In addition to this we include aspects of deafness such as technology and aids to communication used by deaf people, deaf community and culture, lipreading and understanding more about life as a deaf person on all the courses we deliver, so learners gain a wider knowledge of communication with deaf people as well as sign language.

Groups will be encouraged to take part in visits to the local deaf club; these will be arranged as part of the course.

Duration: 38 Weeks

Cost: £50.00 to reserve a place. £50.00 deposit at enrolment. Total course fee £600.00 payable in instalments.
